This is my personal fitness blog, where I aim to cover topics about health and fitness when working in an office job.
Why did I start this blog?
I’ve been working in office jobs or settings for over 15 years. I was an athlete in my past life and was fit all of the time. When I started studying or working in the corporate world, I struggled with balancing my fitness with the demands of the corporate environment.
I found that I continued to put on fat, but maintained a skinny frame. (I’m an ectomorph).
I didn’t understand why I kept on putting on fat and getting into worse shape, even though I still went to the gym while I was working.
I ate what I “Thought” was good for me.
I “Thought” the fitness things that I did was good enough.
I “thought” I could balance it with the demands of my jobs, being in management positions and often working long hours.
Excuses did play a part. I’m not going to lie.
What I couldn’t figure out was how to create a lifestyle that would balance the physical fitness requirements that I needed, whilst making it compliment my lifestyle at my job.
Even when I used to have a personal trainer, I struggled with having the energy and time to do the required fitness. At the same time, I simply wasn’t aware of what was required for me to have a good balance.
The key to succeeding was finding a lifestyle balance.
Nowadays, I have a much better balance and I share my learnings and insights in this blog.
The goal of this blog is to help people working in office jobs or settings find a lifestyle balance, so they can achieve their fitness and health goals.
So if you are someone that identifies with the struggle of keeping in good physical shape whilst trying to meet the demands of an office job or corporate career, you are not alone.
